ORHS Athletic Hall of Fame Events Schedule

Hall of Fame Members Brunch - Friday, April 27, 9:30 – 10:30AM

Oak Ridge HS will host the annual Brunch for the members of the Athletic Hall of Fame including the new inductees and the Scholar – Award recipient. Hall of Fame member and former principal, Bill Spoone, will sponsor the event. Hall of Fame members and inductees may invite a guest. The brunch will be held in the reception area of the school gymnasium. Dress will be school attire for the inductees and casual for the members.

*** Unveiling of the “Reese Laughlin” Scholar – Athlete Award Permanent Plaque

School Assembly - Friday, April 27, 11:00AM – Noon

Following the brunch, the 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees and the Scholar – Athlete Award recipient will be introduced to the student body. During the introduction of each individual, a power point presentation will highlight the athletic career of each. This event will be open to the Hall of Fame members, family and friends of the inductees and friends and supporters of Oak Ridge High School. Dress will be school attire for the inductees.

Induction Banquet – Friday, April 27, 5:30PM

The evening events begin with a reception for all banquet attendees from 5:30 – 6:30 followed by the induction banquet at 6:45, at the Rosen Centre Hotel, 9840 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. Please contact Clara Molina, school secretary, at 407-852-3200 ext 6102223 before April 13, 2018, with the number guests who will be attending the ceremony so that we may adequately prepare for the reception and banquet. Tickets for the dinner cost $ 45.00 each. The Hall of Fame will pay for you and a guest. Inductees will have a reserved table seating ten for their invited guests. There will also be open seating for additional guests. Inductees will also be able to sit together at the same table. Dress for the evening will be business attire. The HOF Inductees will have an opportunity to respond to their introduction. Please be considerate of the other inductees regarding time when presenting your remarks.
